Ohio Weekly Jobless Claims Decline

The Labor Department says claims for unemployment insurance benefits in Ohio fell last week by nearly 12-hundred due to fewer layoffs in manufacturing. Nationally, the number of claims rose by 16-thousand to a seasonally adjusted 357-thousand. It marks the second straight weekly increase. The department says overall, applications have been declining steadily since November, coinciding with solid job growth.
