Profitable Truck Parts Maker Gets Local Tax Break

The City of Columbus is giving truck parts maker Core Molding Technologies a five year, 25 percent tax break on the income generated by the creation of 85 new jobs. The Columbus-based firm has promised the jobs as part of a 5 million dollar expansion of its facility on Manor Park Drive on the West side. The firm recently reported a first-quarter profit of nearly 1.7 million dollars.Columbus Development Director Steve Shoney says it's not the first tax break for the company.
