Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has rejected a proposed constitutional amendment to legalize the medical use of marijuana. DeWine says the summary of the ballot petition was not "fair and truthful," and the proposed regulatory process did not restrict the use of cannabis to medicinal purposes. The proponents needed DeWine's approval before gathering the roughly 386 thousand valid petition signatures needed by next July to get the issue before voters.
