Cleveland City Council member Zack Reed will be sentenced next month after being convicted this week for his third drunken driving offense. Reed says he will not resign, but will give voters a chance to decide his future in next month's primary. Police arrested the 13-year council member in March after he failed a field sobriety test during a downtown traffic stop. Sentencing is scheduled for September 5th, less than a week before voters go to the polls in the primary election. Reed served a 10-day sentence in 2008 for his second drunken-driving conviction.
