A group of state lawmakers has proposed a package of 11 bills designed to help address the state's drug abuse problem. Republican State Representative Robert Sprague says the bills will address addiction, treatment and rehabilitation for addicts.

Sprague says court fees and Medicaid savings would pay for treatment programs. Some of the bills would also make doctors and patients more accountable for their prescriptions of opoids.
