Politicians And Others Apply For Perkins' CCS Seat

28 people have applied to fill the remaining term of Columbus School Board member Carol Perkins. The applicants include former State Representative Marian Harris, former Columbus City Council member and former state insurance department director Mary Jo Hudson, and other local politicians, district parents, attorneys and people in other professions. The list will be narrowed to four finalists during a closed-door board meeting today. It's not clear when a final candidate will be selected.
