State Releases April Jobless Figures

Ohio's unemployment rate has dropped to the lowest level in more than six years. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says the seasonally-adjusted rate for April is 5.7 percent, down four-tenths of a point from March and the lowest rate since February 2008. Non-farm payrolls increased by nearly 13 thousand. The number of unemployed Ohioans in April was 328 thousand, a decline of 26 thousand from March.
