UA Fires Official Behind School's Rebranding Effort

The University of Akron executive behind the school's failed rebranding effort has been fired.  The university's trustees yesterday fired Vice President of Advancement Lawrence Burns, who was in charge of increasing enrollment and fundraising and as well as community and alumni relations.  That included the "Ohio's Polytechnic University" branding, which quickly came under fire from faculty, students, alumni and some other Ohio schools.
