Ohio Highway Patrol troopers have ratified a new three-year contract with the state. The deal gives troopers raises for the first time since 2008. The raises total 12.5 percent, along with a one-time 750 dollar ratification payment, in exchange for concessions in a health program and other changes. Union members last month rejected a contract offering a 13.5 percent raise over three years. The state Controlling Board will consider the agreement on Monday.
