The City of Columbus has agreed to sell a property at East Rich and South 3rd Streets to the Capitol South Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation to continue work around the Columbus Commons park. Columbus Finance Director Joe Lombardi says the sale price, which was not put up for competitive bidding under city code, is 2.4 million dollars.

The one-acre property will be converted by Kaufman Development and the Daimler Group into a 12-story mixed-use building featuring offices, stores and residential units. Capitol South says it will sell the site to the developers.
