Licking County Sheriff's Office

A Newark woman has been sentenced to seven years in prison for causing a drunken driving crash last year. Prosecutors say 25-year-old Emily Kiger was intoxicated when she crashed her vehicle into a pickup truck on Main Street in May of last year. The crash killed 66-year-old pickup truck driver David Ehlermann. Prosecutors say Kiger had a blood-alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit.
