Dayton Schools, Teachers' Union Reach Two-Year Contract Agreement

The Dayton Public Schools and the teachers union last night reached a two-year contract agreement, ending plans for a strike to begin today. Union members have ratified the deal that includes pay raises, better benefits and more classroom time.  The union also issued a vote of no confidence in Superintendent Rhonda Corr and the school board, blaming them for the lengthy negotiations.  The school board is expected to ratify the contract next week.
