The Buckeye Lake Village Council has voted to fire Police Chief James Hanzey, citing insubordination and failure to properly fulfill his duties.
More than two-dozen administrative charges were filed against Hanzey after he was accused of filling out false time sheets and reporting for duty, despite not being cleared from medical leave.
