Columbus police have identified the man killed by officers at a north side motel last week.
Police say 28-year-old Montae Shackleford fired at officers at a hotel on Sinclair Road. Officers went to the hotel on a report of a fight. They couldn't find the fight, but say they found Shackleford's vehicle in the parking lot and he was wanted for kidnapping.
