The Columbus City Schools have yet to reach a contract agreement with new superintendent Talisa Dixon after nearly a month of talks.

Today is the district's deadline to reach a deal. Board of Education President Gary Baker has declined to comment on why talks have not produced a deal. Dixon has said she intended to remain superintendent for the Cleveland Heights-University Heights district through the end of the school year. Columbus officials hope Dixon will start in January.
