City Council last night ratified a three-year deal with the the local firefighters union. The deal provides retroactive pay raises of 3.25 percent in 2017 and 2018, and a 3.5 percent raise next year. Both sides said health care was a major concern during negotiations. This deal gives firefighters two health insurance options at a slightly higher cost. Sponsoring Council member Emmanuel Remy.
