CDP: Shot Spotter Led To Arrest Of Former Buckeye Football Player

A former Ohio State University football player was arrested Saturday in Linden after Columbus police say their new Shot Spotter technology alerted them about gunshots fired in the area. 

26-year-old Corey Smith had several warrants for his arrest out of Akron. Police arrested him while investigating shots fired on East 26th Avenue. Smith played for Ohio state from 2013-2016.
