Group Again Floats Columbus Green Energy Ballot Issue

theverge.com

The group that tried last year to get a gree energy initiative  onto the Columbus ballot is trying again.

ProEnergy Ohio has submitted the petition it plans to circulate to place on the ballot a measure earmarking 87 million taxpayer dollars to green energy initiatives. That's up from 57 million in the last proposal. City Council rejected it because of a flaw in its petition. The group is backed by Columbus resident and electrical engineer John Clarke. The proposal has no support from environmental groups.
