Report Shows Clean Energy Job Growth Continues In Ohio And The U.S.

Energy-efficiency jobs in Ohio grew by 4.5 percent last year, according to a report by a group called Energy Entrepreneurs, or E2.  

The report ranks the state ninth  for employment in the sector. Ohio added more than 2 thousand energy-efficiency jobs last year, bringing the total to roughly 80 thousand. The report also shows more than 10 thousand energy-efficiency businesses are operating in Ohio, with a majority involved in construction or manufacturing. The report says energy-efficiency jobs grew nationally by 3.4 percent last year, with a 7.8 percent increase projected for 2020.
