A new poll shows most Ohio adults agree children should have the required vaccinations in order to enroll in public school.
The Ohio Health issues poll conducted by the independent group Interact for Health shows 80 percent of Ohioans support those vaccinations. Ohio law requires public school students have an updated immunization record on file. Cindy Modie is with Immunize Ohio:
The law include exemptions for philosophical, religious and medical reasons. The Centers for Disease Control says fewer than 3 percent of Ohio kindergartners had an exemption last school year. A 2016 Pew Research Center poll showed more than 82-percent of Americans support a vaccination requirement.
