Ohio Department of Health officials are reporting a 36 percent increase in flu hospitalizations.

Director Amy Acton said it's still not too late to get the vaccine:

Health officials say 832 patients were admitted to the hospital for flu-related illnesses during the week of January 26th through February 1st. That's an increase of 36 percent compared to the previous week in 2020. There were 332 flu hospitalizations during the same week last year. Health officials say influenza season can run through the month of May.
