Columbus Council Creates CRA For Quarry Development

Columbus City Council last night approved creating a Community Reinvestment Area for the Quarry development near Trabue and Dublin Roads on the west side. 

The project includes a Columbus & Franklin County Metro Parks-developed park, and neighboring mixed-use development with housing, office and retail space. The measure includes a requirement that 10 percent of housing units be affordable. The project being spearheaded by Waggonbrenner Development will get a 15-year, 100 property tax break. The first site work on the land began earlier this year, with the goal of having infrastructure in place by October.
