Ohio's Unemployment Rate Dipped Slightly In August

State officials say Ohio's unemployment rate for August is 8.9  percent, down from a revised 9 percent in July. 

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says the number of jobless workers last month was 510 thousand, unchanged from July. Non-farm payrolls increased by 45,500 to a revised 5,147,200. Ohio gained jobs in the manufacturing sector and lost jobs in the construction sector.
