Ohio's Unemployment Rate Now 13.7 Percent
State officials today said Ohio’s unemployment rate was 13.7 percent in May, down from a revised 17.6 percent in April.
Non-farm payrolls rose by 127 thousand over the month to more than 4.8 million. Ohio Had 788 thousand jobless workers in May, down by 111 thousand from April. Ohio gained jobs in construction and manufacturing, and the leisure and hospitality sectors.
