Multi-State Legal Settlement Reached With Anthem Over Data Breach

The Ohio Attorney General's office says a 39.5 million dollar multistate settlement of a lawsuit has been reached with Anthem for the 2014 data breach that compromised the personal information of 78.8 million Americans. 

Anthem has also agreed to a series of data security provisions. Authorities say chinese hackers infiltrated its systems using malware. More than five million Ohioans were affected.
