Guilty Plea In Zanesville Murder Case

A Zanesville man who opened his murder trial acting as his own attorney has changed his mind and pleaded guilty. 20-year-old Shaquille Davis pleaded guilty Wednesday to a reduced charge of murder with a gun specification, as well as one count each of abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. Sentencing is pending. Davis says he shot his 24-year-old cousin, Phillip Kimbro Junior, last July to stop him because he was intoxicated when he was dropped off at Davis' house and quickly became aggressive.
