Alleged West Liberty High School Shooter To Be Tried As An Adult

A Champaign County judge has ruled the teen charged with shooting and wounding two classmates at West Liberty High School in January will be tried as an adult. 17-year-old Ely Serna is being held on 1 million dollars bond. The judge says Serna is competent to stand trial as an adult. The case now goes to a grand jury.
