Former Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith has pleaded guilty to a drug charge in a deal with prosecutors.
Smith pleaded guilty Wednesday to physical control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Smith was charged with OVI and possessing drug paraphernalia last October after Franklin County Sheriff's deputies said they found marijuana and tools in his car at a sobriety checkpoint on Riverside Drive. Smith spent three days in a substance education program and must pay a 375 dollar fine. Smith says he carries a card allowing him to take medical marijuana.
