The City of Columbus will spend 12.8 million dollars to widen a half-mile stretch of Polaris Parkway between I-71 and Olde Worthington Road.

Council member Emmanuel Remy sponsored the required legislation approved by the panel on Monday. He says traffic signal replacement, street lighting and sidewalk improvements are part of the project. The city says residential and commercial traffic has exploded in the area, requiring road improvements.
