The Franklin County Coroner's office has issued a warning following recent drug overdose deaths.

Three people have died since late January after ingesting drugs containing xylazine, an animal anesthetic that is not an opiate. The office says victims thus do not respond when given the overdose antidote naloxone.  Officials advise people who are having a problem to call 911 to get paramedics on to the scene.
