A Franklin County jury has recommended a life sentence for the man convicted last week of killing two Westerville police officers responding to a 911 hang-up call last year.
Jurors declined to recommend the death penalty for Quentin Smith in the slayings of Eric Joering and Anthony Morelli. A judge will formally sentence Smith in two weeks.
