LaRose Says State Preparing For Secure Mail-In Voting This November

Republican Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose says officials are preparing for a higher rate of absentee voting during the November elections due to COVID-19. 

LaRose tells MSNBC there are four safeguards in place to make the process secure:

LaRose says voters who request a ballot must prove their identity with a social security number, driver's license or state ID card. LaRose says officials have a system in place that allows voters to track their ballots once mailed.  He says a bipartisan taskforce meets every week to ensure the proper health precautison are in place for in-person voting:

But LaRose has a warning about the timeliness of election results:

LaRose has disputed President Trump's false claim that absentee voting, also called mail-in voting,  is full of fraud.
