Chief Recommends Discipline For Three CDF Officials Involved In Alcohol-fueled Party

Columbus Division of Fire

Columbus Fire Chief Kevin O'Connor has recommended discipline for a captain and two lieutenants for their roles in an alcohol-fueled party last year at a closed fire station. Fire station 2 sustained heavy damage during the party that involved dozens of firefighters. O’Connor is recommending Captain Lawrence Francisco and Lieutenant John Torrie be suspended for two days. He recommends a three day suspension for Lieutenant Ray Wine. Columbus safety director George Speaks will have the final say on their punishment. 18 other firefighters are getting written reprimands.
