The Southern Rock/Country quintet Blackberry Smoke will perform Live From Studio A in advance of their show that night at Express Live!  They're out on the road with the brand new release Find A Light and we're happy they're making a stop in Columbus with special guests The Magpie Salute!

WCBE is looking forward to the return of Rich Robinson to perform Live From Studio A!  This time around he'll be with the band The Magpie Salute pulled together by Robinson, it continued a storyline he began in the Black Crowes with guitarist Marc Ford and bassist Sven Pipien.

The Social Animals will join us for a Live From Studio A session during the Global Village in advance of their show that night at the Rumba Cafe with Matt Monta & Dirtkid!

This Indie/Folk/Pop band is based in upstste New York.

The have a show coming up at the Albert S. George Youth Center in Barnesville Ohio the evening of the 23rd.

WCBE is pleased to welcome Chris Stills.

His release, "Don't Be Afraid", came out in March.

Chris is the Son Of Stephen Stills and French Singer/Songwriter Véronique Sanson.

The only Central Ohio performance during his current tour will be right here in studio A.

Brent Cowles is a fixture on the Colorado music scene. He's been drawing local attention since his days in the Americana band You Me & Apollo. Since leaving the group he founded while still in his teens, Cowles has been grinding out a solo career and will release his first full-length album, How To Be Okay Alone, on June 15th.

Richard Swift, a highly regarded producer and solo artist, died early Tuesday morning in Washington state. His death was confirmed by a manager, Adam Katz, but no cause of death was given. He was 41 years old.

A crowdfunding campaign was created last month on Swift's behalf to help pay for treatment of a "life-threatening condition," the details of which were not shared.

Blue Lunch is an 8 piece band from Cleveland, Ohio that play Chicago style blues, jazz, jump swing, r&b, doop wop & soul    and more!  They'll join us Live From Studio A in advance of their show that night at Natalie's with Columbus bluesman Sean Carney presented by Crazy Mama's Concerts and WCBE!     

JD Wilkes and Lengendary Shack Shakers will join us Live From Studio A during the Global Village!  

They're out on the road with Wilkes' latest release Fire Dream and have also recentley released After You've Gone in 2017.

They'll perform that night at Woodland's Tavern!

WCBE is looking forward to the return of legendary musician Jorma Kaukonen to perform Live From Studio A!  

He'll peform at Natalie's in Worthington that night for an early show at 7PM and a later show at 9:30PM!

WCBE is looking forward to the return of Columbus group Red Wanting Blue to perform Live From Studio A during the Global Village!

They're out on the road with their brand new release The Wanting and will also perform that night along with Liz Brasher and The Receiver at The Newport!

Raised in North Carolina and based in Memphis, Liz Brasher will be in town to perform at the Red Wanting Blue show at the Newport Music Hall the evening of the 8th.

The Receiver will also play at that show.

WCBE is looking forward to hosting American Aquarium Live From Studio A during the Global Village!  

This act, fronted by JT Nero and Allison Russell will be performing at this years Nelsonville Music Festival.

One of Allison Russel's other projects, Po' Girl, visited studio A back in 2009.

Thier latest release, "Love In Wartime", came out earlier this month.

In this session, we have some serious musicians who trained at a conservatory and make carefully arranged music with tricky harmonies. Sound like a recipe for fun? It is. This is Lake Street Dive we're talking about, and if you've heard any of the original music they make, you know they take all the most fun bits of pop, soul, disco, jazz, rock and roll and stitch them together into something all their own.

After a 18 year hiatus, Squirrel Nut Zippers return to the road to promote their brand new album Beasts of Burgundy and we're happy to say they're making a stop in Columbus!

Most music-industry awards shows hand out armloads of trophies, but the Americana Music Association only gives out six. Besides a handful of lifetime achievement awards — which, for this year, have yet to be announced — the only categories are for best album, artist, duo/group, emerging artist, song and instrumentalist.
