Los Angeles-based genre-blurring duo RIO KOSTA is excited to announce 2026 North American tour dates following the release of their debut album, UNICORN, and a sold-out UK/EU tour. The 16-city run begins on February 15, including stops in Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Austin, and Los Angeles, as well as sold-out nights in Brooklyn and San Diego.
Inspiring comparisons to the likes of Khruangbin, MGMT and Jungle, their boundless concoction of ‘70s psychedelia, global funk grooves and swooning vocal harmonies has earned a wealth of admirers. They’ve been featured on the soundtracks to ‘EA Sports FC 26’ and ‘Skate’, and have been highlighted in recent ad campaigns from Apple and Target. And as their sold-out shows in Los Angeles, New York City and abroad have demonstrated, their live experience is heightened by exemplary musicianship and a euphoric ambience.
The blissful, warm euphoria of RIO KOSTA reflects how the project came to be. The multi-instrumentalist producer duo, made up of Mike Del Rio and Kosta Galanopoulos, met by chance backstage at a festival, each intrigued by the other’s vibe. That spark continued with their first jam session, which not only yielded their debut album’s title track but also generated a surfeit of ideas that seeped into the wider album.
