COLUMBUS, OH – On Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Natalie’s in Grandview will host The Grand Soiree: A Benefit for Bob Sauls, a special event bringing together some of Columbus’ most legendary musicians and artists to support one of their own.
Bob Sauls, a well-known musician from Central Ohio, recently turned to the community for help with his mounting medical expenses due to arterial fibrillation, cardiopulmonary edema, and black lung. His plea on Facebook inspired an outpouring of support from friends and fellow musicians, leading to the organization of this benefit concert.
“The response from the Columbus music scene has been overwhelming. Everyone wants to help Bob,” said Theresa Caldwell, one of the event’s organizers, performers, and a friend of Bob. “We’re all coming together to make a life-saving difference.”
This musical event will feature performances by many artists, including Willie Phoenix, Ray Fuller, Donna Magavero, Terry Davidson, Sean Carney, Shaun Booker, Colin Gawel, Jim Maneri, Billy Zenn & The Beatdowns, Jim Johnson, Myke Rock, Lisa Gain, Theresa Caldwell, Shawn Burroughs, Nikki Wonder, Pete Remenyi, Quinn Fallon, Jon Coleman, Wild Man Steve Wald, Brian Clash, Leah Miller, Joel Mathers, Stevie Ray Robinson, Mark See, Gayle Karafil, Rev. Chris Barton and Michael Dorrian.
In addition to the musical performances, the event will include a Silent Art Auction, also coordinated by Caldwell. “Some of Columbus’ best-known artists, such as Elliot Twelve-Trees, Paul Volker, Colin Dearth and Teeny Tucker, will be donating fabulous paintings, drawings, and mixed-media art,” said Caldwell. “The generosity of these artists is truly overwhelming.”
Jon Peterson, producer and host of Shakin' It on 90.5 WCBE, will serve as Master of Ceremonies, sharing hosting duties with Curtis Schieber, a longtime record store owner, concert promoter, and journalist. Charles Wince will also co-host, and will introduce Bob to the crowd. If his health allows, Bob Sauls will perform as well.
Join us for an evening of music and art and help support Bob Sauls in his time of need. Tickets are priced at $20 for general admission (standing) and $30 for reserved seating. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.nataliesgrandview.com.
