Reflecting on Metzenbaum's political career

Columbus, OH – An Ohio political icon died on Wednesday March 12 at age 90. Former U.S. Senator Howard Metzenbaum was elected 3 times to the senate and built a reputation as a consumer advocate. Former Cleveland Plain Dealer reporter Tom Diemer covered Metzenbaum in Washington during the 1980's. In an interview with Ohio Public Radio's Bill Cohen, Diemer says Metzenbaum will be remembered not just for his left-of-center ideology - but also for his STYLE.
