Motorist indicted for hitting police officer and bystander

A Franklin County grand jury has indicted a motorist who allegedly was under the influence when he ran into a Columbus police officer and a female bystander on an 1-71 ramp on July 15th. 41-year-old Alphonso Jennings III allegedly struck Sergeant Steve Livingston, who stopped to help a woman whose car had spun out of control. Both were seriously injured but are expected to recover.
