The U.S. Census Bureau says median household incomes in Columbus and Franklin County fell by more than four percent between 2010 and 2011, a rate higher than in the rest of the state and the nation.Columbus' median income fell to just over 40-thousand dollars, while the county's median income fell to just over 47-thousand. The state saw a one percent decline, while the nation saw a 1.3 percent decline. Local officials note the city and county gained jobs during the period. Census officials say the figures indicate those jobs pay less than the ones lost during the Great Recession.
