Romney Ad Subject Of FEC Complaint

A progressive group has filed a complaint with the Federal Elections Commission over tv ads from Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney's campaign.Brian Rothenberg of the group ProgressOhio says the ad shows miners who were required to attend a Romney campaign event at a mine near Zanesville last month. He says that needs to be reported as a contribution from the company and its owner, who has contributed to Romney and other GOP candidates. None of the miners in the ad are part of the complaint. Nor is the United Mine Workers Union, which has not made a presidential endorsement. The Romney campaign says the complaint is politically motivated.
