Many of the nation's major retailers are reporting sales gains for the month of September.Columbus-based Limited Brands and Costco are reporting sales gains that beat Wall Street analysts' expectations. Target and Cincinnati-based Macy's report sales increases below analysts' expectations. The figures are based on revenue at stores opened at least a year, considered a key indicator of a retailer's health.
