Teen Shot In 2003 Suing Ohio-based Gun Maker

A New York appeals court has ruled  a former high school athlete shot in 2003 in Buffalo may sue the companies that made and distributed the handgun used in the crime. The ruling reverses a lower court's dismissal of  Daniel Williams' complaint against Ohio gun maker Hi-Point and distributor MKS Supply, who he said intentionally supplied handguns to irresponsible dealers for profit. The weaponused to shoot Williams was bought at a gun show by a gun trafficker. Hi-Point attorney Scott Allan says the firm only sells guns to federally licensed distributors.
