Crash Lands Cop In Hospital

Columbus police say one of the two officers injured when their cruisers crashed Tuesday night remains hospitalized.Joseph Ritch and Matthew Mitchell were responding to a robbery report when they crashed at Ontario Street and 25th Avenue in South Linden.  Ritch sustained broken bones, while Mitchell remains hospitalized in serious condition with head injuries. Police officials say one cruiser had its lights and siren on, and they are trying to determine if the other also had its lights and siren on.
