No Foul Play In Demjanjuk's Death

Bavarian prosecutors say they've found no evidence that negligence by medical professionals helped lead to the death of a Cleveland area auto worker while appealing his conviction on Nazi war crimes charges. In June, attorneys for 91-year-old John Demjanjuk sought an investigation, alleging pain medication may have exacerbated his kidney problems. A spokesperson tells The Associated Press the investigation was closed after no evidence was found of foul play or error by the doctors. Demjanjuk was convicted in May 2011 on more than 28-thousand counts of accessory to murder while serving as a Nazi death camp guard. He denied the charges. He died last March.
