The annual Ohio Mock Trial Competition begins this week, and it's expected to include more than 3,500 students from 180 high schools around the state. The students play the roles of attorneys and witnesses in a mock trial setting to help students learn about constitutional rights. This year's case deals with improper confessions and a person's Fifth Amendment rights. Hundreds of legal professionals volunteer to advise teams of students or to act as coordinators and judges. The district competitions are held this week, with the winning teams moving on to regional competition and a championship round at the Ohio Statehouse in March
