Village Mayor Resigns Over Slurs

The Pomeroy village council last night accepted the resignation of Mayor Mary McAngus after she made slurs against a gay police officer.McAngus submitted a resignation letter on Saturday for repeatedly making slurs against Officer Kyle Calendine and trying to prevent his partner from visiting him his workplace. No word yet on plans for a successor.
