The U.S. EPA has selected the members of the Great Lakes Advisory Board.The 18 members include scientists and representatives of advocacy groups, businesses, state and local governments, Native-American tribes and other interests. They will advise the agency about the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, a 1 billion effort designed to make progress on lingering issues such as invasive species, habitat loss and nuisance algae. The agency is also accelerating cleanup of 29 toxic hot spots in the region. The list of board members is posted on the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative's website.
