Sawyers To Leave ODE

Acting state schools superintendent Michael Sawyers says he will leave the Ohio Department of Education later this month to become chief of operations and strategic development in the New Albany-Plain Local school district.On Tuesday, the Ohio Board of Education chose Richard Ross over Sawyers as state superintendent. Ross, former superintendent of the Reynoldsburg schools, was Governor John Kasich's top education advisor.
