No Travel Reimbursments For State Pension Workers

The Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review has voted that no retirement system employee may be reimbursed for travel from now on. The vote comes after two board members of the School Employees Retirement System insisted on going to Hawaii recently for a conference. The Ohio House is scheduled to vote on it today, and the Senate on Wednesday. Lawmakers and the state oversight committee have repeatedly criticized the Hawaii trip and urged the pension board to change its travel policy.
