Authorities Raid Alleged Columbus Pill Mill

City, county, and state authorities raided a clinic and two pharmacies on Columbus' South side this morning as part of a nine-month investigation of alleged pill mills.Authorities seized records from the Columbus Southern Medical Clinic and the Pharma 1 Pharmacy, both on South High Street, and the Drug Store Pharmacy on Groveport Road. No drugs were taken, and no arrests were made. Investigators say prescriptions for pain medications were written at the clinic and filled at the two pharmacies. It is the first pill mill raid conducted in Franklin County by the Ohio Attorney General's office. Columbus police and Franklin and Licking County Sheriff's deputies were also involved.
